Help Us Plant the Palouse!

Join Palouse Conservation District to improve water quality and create habitat along local streams by planting native trees and shrubs and removing invasive plants at various sites near Pullman.


Volunteer planting opportunities will be posted to GivePulse as they are scheduled.

Be prepared:

  • We’ll be out there in rain, snow, or shine

  • Volunteers will be walking on uneven terrain in tall grass

  • Your shoes and clothes will get dirty!

You will need:

  • Long pants (required for safety)

  • Closed-toe shoes (required for safety) *Crocs and sandals don’t count!

  • Weather-appropriate clothing *Bring extra layers to add or take off - weather can change quickly!

  • Water bottle and snacks

We will provide:

  • Tools

  • Gloves (S, M, L, XL)

  • Water

  • Electrolyte powder

  • A small selection of snacks


This event is supported with funding from Environmental Protection Agency, Washington Department of Ecology, Washington State Conservation Commission, and Washington’s Climate Commitment Act. The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health.
