Help Us Plant the Palouse!

Join Palouse Conservation District to help improve water quality and create habitat along local streams by planting native trees and shrubs and removing invasive plants at various sites along the Bill Chipman Palouse Trail.


Plant the Palouse (Open to the public; transportation required):

October 19th - November 18th

Thursdays 2 pm - 5 pm

Saturdays 9 am - 12 pm

Be prepared:

  • We’ll be out there in rain, snow, or shine

  • Volunteers will be walking on uneven terrain in tall grass

  • Your shoes and clothes will get dirty!

You will need:

  • Long pants (required for safety)

  • Closed-toe shoes (required for safety) *Crocs and sandals don’t count!

  • Weather-appropriate clothing *Bring extra layers to add or take off - weather can change quickly!

  • Water bottle and snacks

We will provide:

  • Tools

  • Gloves (S, M, L, XL)

  • Water

  • Electrolyte powder

  • A small selection of snacks
