History with the AAS Program

Adopt-a-Stream is a relatively new project for us at Piece of Mind Cannabis. We started working with the program as recently as Spring of 2021. We have about 10-15 people on staff and all of us participate in the stewardship projects in small groups.

Reason for joining AAS Program

We decided to join the Adopt-a-Stream program because it is a great way to give back to the community that we live in and care about. It’s our goal to show appreciation for the community that appreciates us every day. In addition, the Washington State Cannabis industry is not known for being environmentally sustainable through high energy usage, water usage, and wasteful packaging. The staff at Piece of Mind believe that to do our part, participating in these local stewardship projects is the least we can do.

Most rewarding experience with the AAS Program

The most rewarding aspect of the Adopt-a-Stream program is the fact that we can see the progress being made on our ecosystems in real time because these ecosystems are in our own backyards and neighborhoods. As a result, our homes and neighborhoods benefit immensely through being clean and healthy.

Favorite memory from AAS Clean-Ups

Our favorite memories of AAS clean-ups include enjoying getting outside and taking care of our environment while having fun as a group outside of work, and the positive feedback we’ve gotten from passersby. Adopt-A-Stream makes it easy and fun to help take care of our local ecosystem.
